What We Build
SAML-Based Single Sign-On: Users authenticate to NetSuite through Okta using SAML 2.0. One login gives access to NetSuite and all other Okta-connected applications. No more separate NetSuite passwords.
Automated User Provisioning: When a new employee is added to Okta (typically triggered by your HR system), a NetSuite user account is automatically created with the correct roles, subsidiary access, and restrictions based on their Okta group membership.
Role Mapping: Okta groups map to NetSuite roles. When an employee changes departments or gets promoted, their Okta group membership updates, and their NetSuite roles adjust automatically.
Deprovisioning: When an employee is deactivated in Okta, their NetSuite access is revoked immediately. No waiting for IT to manually disable accounts — critical for security and compliance.
Multi-Factor Authentication: Okta's MFA policies extend to NetSuite access. Enforce MFA for all users, specific roles, or when accessing NetSuite from outside the corporate network.

Does this replace NetSuite's built-in authentication?
Yes. With Okta SSO configured, users authenticate through Okta rather than NetSuite's native login page. NetSuite's internal authentication can be disabled for standard users while maintaining direct access for administrators if needed.
Can Okta manage NetSuite roles across multiple subsidiaries?
Yes. We configure role assignments based on Okta group membership, including subsidiary-specific roles. An employee in the UK subsidiary gets different NetSuite roles than one in the US subsidiary, all managed through Okta groups.
