Integrate SugarCRM with NetSuite to sync accounts, contacts, quotes, and orders between your sales and finance teams without duplicate data entry.
NetSuite certified · Proven integration methodology · Ongoing support
The SugarCRM-NetSuite integration syncs accounts, contacts, quotes, and orders between your sales and finance teams. Deals closed in SugarCRM become sales orders in NetSuite automatically -- no rekeying data, no mismatched customer records, no revenue booking delays.
SugarCRM handles your pipeline, activities, and customer relationships. NetSuite handles invoicing, revenue, and financial reporting. Without an integration, these two systems drift apart. Sales creates an account in Sugar, finance creates a customer in NetSuite, and within six months you have mismatched addresses, duplicate contacts, and no reliable way to see a customer's full picture.
The real pain shows up when a deal closes. Sales marks it won in SugarCRM. Then someone manually re-enters the order details in NetSuite -- items, quantities, pricing, shipping address, payment terms. It's slow, error-prone, and creates a bottleneck between closing a deal and booking the revenue.
Account and Contact Sync: Customer and prospect records flow bidirectionally between SugarCRM and NetSuite. Create an account in either system and it appears in the other. Updates to addresses, phone numbers, and key contacts propagate automatically. We use a unique identifier (usually email or a custom external ID) to prevent duplicates.
Quote-to-Order Workflow: When a sales rep builds a quote in SugarCRM, they're selecting from a product catalog synced from NetSuite. Pricing, inventory availability, and customer-specific discounts come from the ERP. When the customer accepts the quote, it converts to a sales order in NetSuite with all line items, pricing, and terms intact. No re-keying.
Financial Visibility in CRM: Sales reps can see invoice status, payment history, and credit limits directly within SugarCRM. This context matters during sales conversations. If a customer is 60 days past due, the rep should know that before offering extended terms on a new deal.
Product Catalog Sync: Items and pricing from NetSuite push to SugarCRM so quotes always reflect current catalog data. Price level changes, new products, and discontinued items update automatically.
Technical Architecture: SugarCRM offers a REST API (v11+) that we connect to NetSuite via middleware. Celigo has a pre-built SugarCRM connector that covers the common flows, or we build custom integrations using Workato or n8n for more complex requirements. Data flows are typically near-real-time for account and contact sync, with order creation triggered by workflow events in Sugar.
If your sales team lives in SugarCRM and your finance team lives in NetSuite, this integration eliminates the gap between them. It's especially valuable for B2B companies with complex quoting processes and long sales cycles.
If you're on SugarCRM but considering a CRM switch, it might make sense to evaluate that decision first. No point building an integration for a system you're about to replace. But if Sugar is your CRM for the foreseeable future, connecting it to NetSuite properly will save significant time and frustration.
