Inventory synchronization between NetSuite and Adobe Commerce
BrokenRubik synced inventory between NetSuite and Adobe Commerce for DecksDirect using RESTLet API.
Real-time inventory visibility across all locations. Lot tracking, demand planning, and WMS integration — all in NetSuite. No more spreadsheets, no more guessing.
Multi-location inventory · Lot & serial tracking · WMS integration · Demand planning
Physical inventory says 100 units, NetSuite says 85, your spreadsheet says 92. Nobody knows the real number.
Customer needs the product, you have it somewhere — but you don't know where. Manual calls to warehouses waste everyone's time.
Best sellers run out while slow movers pile up. No visibility into what to order and when. Reactive instead of proactive.
Customer complaint comes in, but you can't trace which lot they received or who else got product from that lot.
Accurate inventory isn't about counting more often — it's about getting transactions right the first time. NetSuite updates inventory in real time as orders ship, goods receive, and transfers complete.
See inventory across all locations in real time. No more end-of-day syncs or spreadsheet reconciliation. Stock levels update as transactions happen.
Manage inventory across warehouses, stores, and 3PLs from one system. Transfer stock, allocate orders, and balance inventory across locations.
Full traceability from receipt to shipment. Track lot numbers, serial numbers, and expiration dates. Essential for recalls and compliance.
Organize inventory within warehouses using bins, zones, and locations. Speed up picking and improve accuracy with systematic putaway.
Forecast demand based on historical sales, seasonality, and trends. Generate purchase orders and transfer orders to maintain optimal stock levels.
Integrate with warehouse management systems for RF scanning, wave picking, and advanced fulfillment workflows. Real-time sync with NetSuite.
No commitment required

Honest assessment. Complex WMS needs? We'll recommend the right integration approach.
Yes, and this is where NetSuite really shines. You can set up as many locations as you need — warehouses, retail stores, 3PL partners, consignment locations, even virtual locations for inventory in transit. Each location can have its own bin structure. Transfer orders move stock between locations with full visibility. The real-time, multi-location view is one of the main reasons companies move to NetSuite from QuickBooks or spreadsheet-based tracking.
Both. Lot tracking groups items with the same lot number — essential for food, pharmaceuticals, or anything with batch-level traceability requirements. Serial tracking assigns a unique identifier to each unit — common for electronics, equipment, or high-value items. You can track either (or both) through the full lifecycle: receiving, transfers, sales, returns. Expiration date tracking is also built in, which matters for perishables or products with shelf-life requirements.
Yes, there's a native WMS module with RF/barcode scanning, wave picking, pack stations, and bin management. It works well for moderately complex warehouse operations. For companies with very high-volume or specialized fulfillment needs, we often integrate NetSuite with dedicated WMS platforms like RF-SMART, Deposco, or ShipHawk. The native module handles maybe 70% of use cases; the other 30% need something more specialized.
The Demand Planning module looks at your historical sales data, factors in seasonality and trends, and projects future demand. It then generates suggested purchase orders to maintain your target stock levels. You set reorder points, safety stock, lead times, and preferred vendors — NetSuite does the math to tell you what to order and when. It's not as sophisticated as specialized demand planning tools, but it handles straightforward forecasting well and integrates directly with purchasing.
Absolutely. We've built integrations with all the major WMS platforms. The typical pattern: NetSuite sends orders to the WMS for fulfillment, the WMS handles pick/pack/ship and updates tracking, then shipment confirmations and inventory adjustments flow back to NetSuite. Everything stays in sync without manual data entry. The integration complexity varies by WMS — some have pre-built NetSuite connectors, others need custom API work.
You can run full physical inventory counts (shut everything down and count) or ongoing cycle counts (count portions of inventory continuously). Most of our clients use cycle counting — you create count plans based on ABC classification, item velocity, or just random selection. Warehouse staff counts the assigned items, enters the results, and NetSuite adjusts inventory after approval. This keeps your inventory accurate without the operational disruption of full physical counts.
